STORY: This wine is for those who like bold, rich, textural whites with buttery and tropical character. These kinds of wines are not that common when using natural wines production as oak and aromatic yeast strains are often needed to warrant such results. In this case the Umbrian climate and the exceptional and rare local variety Trebbiano Spoletino create this incredible wine. No oak is used and the texture is achieved through aging on the yeast lees. The grapes in this wine come from Tabarinni's old vines (125 year+) that are bizarrely large. They have to be hand harvested by ladder. The vineyards are more like orchards with beautiful pergola systems of cascading vines overhead. The Tabarrini family have been farming here for four generations. Under the guidance of his Mother and Father, Giampaolo Tabarrini began a project taking the estate in a new direction. His passion and skill in wine-making has won the family estate many awards and changed the face of wine production in Umbria.
